Congratulations to our client, Baltic Yachts built Nilaya, on her win at the 30th edition of the St Barths Bucket! Nilaya sailed a very good regatta and her  performance was top notch following her full rig refit with us last year.

Steve raced the regatta with Vitters Shipyard built Unfurled; the best regatta conditions were at the beginning of the week during the practice days, with a decreasing breeze into the final day… ”It’s always challenging manoeuvring these stunning, but very heavy superyachts around the course in light airs. Keeping 300 tons moving in under 12 knots presents plenty of challenges. In the final race around St Barths S/Y Unfurled and her crew battled hard to chase down Nilaya and hold off Visione. The final run into the finish had all three boats gybing down to the line within a few boat lengths of each other with Nilaya taking the win, Unfurled in second and Visione in 3rd place however this didn’t effect the final result with Nilaya taking the class win.

Congratulations also to the rest of the competitors for a fantastic race, and to our clients S/Y Missy and Svea for winning their classes in their Bucket debuts.”
