This Genoa Halyard arrived in to the workshop off a boat that was having problems with the cover.

The RSB Splicing team found the eye had a separate cover on it with a large whipping to hold the two covers together. This resulted in something unsightly and potentially hazardous. When replacing old running rigging you should expect the rope to arrive with a covered eye splice and a small whipping.

It is important that you always consult experienced specialists when replacing your running rigging to avoid wasting time and money, and using sub-standard equipment.
