It was a little touch and go this morning as to whether we were going to be able to get the masts back in the 47 meter Garden designed ketch Mikado due to the winds that had picked up overnight.

However by 11am the 8.5 ton main mast was in the air and the procedure was under way. As soon as the main was stepped the boat left the lifting pit, turned around and reversed back in to allow the 4.5 ton mizzen to be stepped. With the mizzen jacked up to a safe dock tune the crane was tasked with fitting the booms. Without the assistance from the Mikado captain and crew the job would have gone a lot slower. Their help meant we were able to have the boat ready to leave the dock and head back to there berth by 5pm allowing the RSB team a little time to grab a cold beer at the end of the day!
