The 53 meter mast was restepped onboard the beautiful J boat, Velsheda earlier today. The mast had been removed for service work and to get the EC6 cables rebraided before the boat heads out to the Caribbean for the winter season.

Composite Rigging, the manufacturers of EC6 pulled out all the stops to get these cables inspected, rebraided and shipped back to us as they lost almost two weeks of their scheduled work time due to the cables getting stuck in New York when Hurricane Sandy shut down the airport and the shipping routes out of the city. However with the cables arriving into Palma late last week we were able to get the rig built and restepped on schedule for a planned trial sail on Thursday. Allan is now waiting for a consignment of rope to arrive into the workshop so that he can get the running rigging order completed before we close for the Christmas break.
