Last week, our riggers Andy, Ben and José packed their bags and traveled to the Rybovich Shipyard in West Palm Beach to work alongside Tony Hawker and his team of riggers from Seahawk Rigging and unstep both rigs onboard a 58m Royal Huisman built, Ron Holland designed sailing yacht.

The rigs were unstepped with no issues and are now fully stripped for painting. While the spars are being refinished the OYS Nitronic standing rigging will undergo a full refit and the Southern Spars ECsix headstays and backstay will be shipped back to Valencia to undergo a full service in the Future Fibres facility. During this time frame the 300kg Rondal furler units and swivels will also be sent to Holland for a a full service.

Steve Branagh, founder of RSB Rigging comments,

‘Following on from the project we completed together on S/Y Bayesian in 2016 in Astilleros de Mallorca it has once again been a pleasure to work with Tony Hawker and his team on this project. Both companies have worked hard to get this extensive refit under way and are looking forward to completing more projects together in the future. Thank you to everyone involved for all your hard work.¨
