Oceanco / Vitters Shipyard built S/Y Aquijo is the largest ketch on the water, and with her twin 90m masts, she is one seriously powerful yacht.

Southern Spars and 7C Rigging, assisted by Andy Hartridge from RSB Rigging, have been gearing Aquijo up to enter dry dock in La Ciotat this week, and as such, the entire vessel needed to be secured in a brace, provided by a collaboration between the Vc Metalwork custom made mast collars and high load loops made in house by the RSB Rigging Solutions dedicated splicing department. With twin 90m masts, this system is necessary due to the sheer size of Aquijo’s rig and the subsequent extra windage.

The lines pictured below were fabricated by Gleistein Ropes in collaboration with our team. These lines were fabricated from 30mm Dynaone HS / with break load of 135T. The high load loops below we also fabricated in-house.
