RSB have supplied the full running rigging package to the recently launched stunning 46m Frers designed S/Y Unfurled. With Maffioli supplying all the rope, the splicing team of Allan, Sergi and Carlos put together a winning rope package for the boat.

Steve went to Holland for the commissioning and first sea trials following a successful two days at METS and had this to say, 'As with any launch in Northern Europe at this time of year you are held to ransom by the weather when it comes to completing sea trials, rig, and deck work, and this project has been no different.'

'The weather has made life as cold, wet and difficult to work in as possible over the last ten days with a constant 30+ knots of icy wind, sleet, snow and driving rain... You know it's bad when you have Alexis from RigPro NZ 30 meters up the mast looking like a human wind sock while trying to work on the runners!'

'However we managed to get off the dock a few times for some long days of motor trials punctuated with small periods of sailing. Even though it's early days, its shown us that the boat will be quick and with a huge amount of sail probably quite a handful. Now we wait for the illusive weather window to allow them to get out of Harlingen and off across the Atlantic where the first regatta will be in Antigua. Weather aside, the new Unfurled from Vitters is an incredible, stunning boat, with a beautiful interior. We wish Adam and his crew a safe trip and congratulate Vitters Shipyard on yet another beautiful creation.''

Our splicing team are being commissioned to supply the running rigging for new builds more and more frequently, which is testament to our highly skilled and knowledgeable team. For all enquiries please contact splicing@rsb-rigging.com
