The Wall of Shame: What Happens When You Over Hoist the Halyard?

And the latest entry to the ‘Wall of Shame’ is this spinnaker halyard sheave. The halyard has been over hoisted allowing the Tylaska Marine Hardware Snap Shackle to get stuck in the cheeks of the block. A good way of preventing this would be with a donut and full hoist marks on the halyard.
