When the captain of the 45 meter super sloop Visione came to us last week and asked if we could unstep the mast with the boat in its cradles in the yard on Monday we did a little head scratching, found a very long tape measure and booked the biggest crane available!

The guys did a great job preparing the rig with help from Lars from Hall Spars (he used to work for RSB) and the boat crew. With only a minor problem when the Spartite got a little stuck in the mast collar the mast came out and was in the trollies by lunch time leaving the temperature to continue climbing into the mid 30C's and the tarmac to hit the 40C's.

The boat will now complete works on the keel and bulb and we'll re-step the mast in a couple of weeks.
